10 Days!

Finally, the departure date has inched its way up to next Saturday, and I couldn't be more ecstatic (and unprepared)! For the next five months, I'll be documenting my adventures at http://haleyinfrance.wordpress.com, so I hope you'll follow me there!

Au revoir!

Accepted!

After sending in my application documents a tad late over to France, I received my acceptance letter via e-mail just hours ago. I'm so excited! Now that I know that I am officially on the roster for the fall semester, I can get my Visa. Although that requires an unfortunate trip to Houston, it will totally be worth it.

I only have two months until it's August, and once August hits, everything will go so quickly. Packing not only for my trip to France but also for the quick move I'll have to make from Dallas to Waco upon my return to Texas, my days will definitely fly by. Hopefully I'll be able to get my plane ticket to depart sometime around the middle of August so I can have ample time to explore Paris and maybe another city before needing to be in Caen around September 3rd. I want to spend as much time in Europe as possible (while spending as little money as possible... although that will be a lot).

I am so excited that I already know a few people who will be in Caen, like Marie, Anais, and Flo. Also, knowing that I have great people from Baylor going with me is comforting. I know that all of us will be good about meeting people FROM FRANCE, not just other exchange students. I have a really good feeling about things that are going to happen this fall. I don't want to overestimate the awesomeness, but I really don't think it's possible.
